    sleep talk?

I tuck my daughter in every night before I go to bed. This is usually a couple hours after she has gone to sleep. She will sit up and talk to me for a minute and then she is asleep again. I asked her this morning about something she said last night and she doesn't remember talking to me at all. She says she goes to sleep and wakes up in the morning. I have never heard of this before.

I know people who sleep talk. This is not a good thing when you have to share a room with this person because their sleep talking will keep you up half the night!

Are you sure that your daughter was the one who talked and not you dreaming about it? There are times when we think that we are still awake where in fact we are already dreaming.

Among my sisters, the youngest is the one who usually sleep talk, what's more funny is she would wake my other sister up

As long they don't reveal some hidden secrets while sleep talking they should be fine

Children do that occasionally and so do some adults. This is the time between waking and sleeping and sometimes we slip from one to the other without realising that this has happened. Then if we talk during the intermittent phase then it is equivalent to dreaming and is not part of our memories.
