If your baby can take some fruits juices then citrus juices are a good source of vitamin C. Drinking water will surely help in cleaning the body from toxins and helps the white blood cells to combat the invading organisms.
My toddler is sick and is having a very hard time breathing and therefor not sleeping well. I know you are not supposed to give toddlers much medicine but I don't know how else to relieve the stuffed nose. How else can I get her to sleep better? Rest is important to get better when you are sick.

I used to use mentholatum when my children were babies and couldn't breathe. I would rub it on their neck and chest and then warm a dish towel and lay it over their chest and up around their neck. Usually their pajamas will hold it in place. Then I would put just a tiny bit under their nose. It may be necessary to put some blocks under the two bed legs at the top of their bed in order to have them sleeping on an incline, too.
My daughter had this problem quite frequently. I used a vaporizer with mentholated additive. The wet hot steam opens the air passages. You could also try some saline water to flush the nostrils.
I was just going to say use a vaporizer too in the child's room. Also use Vick's in the vaporizer so it's in the air. It should help unclog your child's nose. You can also rub Vick's on your child's feet too, this is supposed to help.
