You find what works for your baby. I remember my cousin's baby son was the same way. The only thing that worked was to drive him around in a car in his car seat and then he stopped crying. He got over the colic after about 3 months.
My son (he's 7 now) was a colic child in his first two months after birth. He cried inconsolably and incessantly day and night. We didn't know how to deal with it, except endure it. He deprived himself of sleep by crying, he deprived my wife of sleep, and he deprived me of sleep too!
Did anyone have such experience? How did you deal with it?![]()

I recommend you use Mylicon. It has helped all the coliqui babies in the family. It is natural and has no effects in the baby other than the relief they feel. I recommend using before each feeding.
My oldest son had this problem his first two months of life. First thing that I would suggest is try different formulas. My son's stomach did not tolerate formulas with iron added. His problems cleared up almost completely after taking him off the iron.
There is no link between colic and gas. It is actually just inconsolable crying with no known cause. So really other than to make them more comfortable there is very little you can do. Changing formulas could help but it's just as likely not to. Believe me with my son we have changed formulas 7 times already. I spent over an hour today listening to him scream uncontrollably. I was holding him, tried to feed him, changed his diaper. Nothing helped. He finally fell asleep after crying for so long.
I also have had this same experience. My daughter was colic when she was born and it took almost a year for her to get over it. She also has not learned to fall asleep through the night and she is 3! I rocked her, rubbed her back, bounced her, gave her Mylicon, bought a womb sounds bear, and put her in a swing NOTHING HELPED! I also work 60 hours a week so I don't know what sleep is, for the last 3 years, either!

I only had one baby that had colic. I did the same things everyone has suggested here and nothing helped. Then one day by coincidence I met a dear Mexican woman. She was around our son for a while and suggested I make him a bottle of camomile tea with no sugar and let him drink some. Being desperate, I tried it and it worked. I no longer had a baby with colic.
I also have a baby with colic and it has been really hard. She just cries and cries and cries. I am definitely going to try the camomile tea. I like the fact that it's all natural. Hopefully it will work.
Wow I wish I knew this camomile tea trick when I had my son who had colic for about 6 months. I will have to let my sister know about this as she is now dealing with a 1 month old colic baby.
There is no single medicine or proven cure for colic, but there are measures you can try that may help. Different babies are comforted in different ways, and you may need to try a few methods to see what works. Caring for a baby with colic can be very stressful, frustrating and challenging for any parent or carer, particularly if it's your first child.
