Oh no! I haven't ever had that happen while not pregnant anyway. That would be an rude awaking for sure! I only have to get up lately for my son who wakes up wet and changing the sheets at 3 am isn't really my idea of fun, but it will pass.
I was wondering if someone else have experience such a deep sleep that they couldn't wake up to go to the bathroom. Last week, I was dreaming that I needed to go to the bathroom, and that when I finally got to the bathroom I wasn't able to urinate and keep pushing and pushing. I had a rude awakening when I wet the bed.

Oh my! Nope that hasn't happened to me unless I had drank too much and then passed out and then is not anything that happens too often. I bet it was surprising to go back to bed and it was wet!
I have never had that happen, my bladder does not take no for an answer when it wants to be emptied. I have not wet the bed since I was a child. Maybe you should talk to a doctor about that if it happens often enough.
That has only happened to me one time. Anymore if I am very tired (like exhausted tired) I will make sure I do not drink very much before going to bed. Of course this is also because there is no bathroom on this floor and I hate going up and down stairs when I am tired.
Wow that has never happened to me! Deep sleep, which is also called slow wave sleep, is in the third or fourth stage of non rem sleep. What is interesting is that people who are sleep deprived MUST have this type of sleep. What that may mean is that you are (or were in that situation) on the verge of some kind of sleep deprivation.
I've never had that situation happen. Now I have had sleep where I want to wake up but can't. It's like someone is preventing me from moving. I might be scared or I just really want to wake up, but I'm just forced down. I can't move at all. It doesn't happen often, but it's been there off and on throughout my life.
I can manage to wake up to urinate however tired I am. I just can't bear the pain on my bladder and that will help me get up and go to the toilet to urinate.
If this is a recurring problem theres an exercise you can try doing to strengthen your bladder musles. Just try tensing your groin area repeatedly. Say 20 reps 10 times a day. Can help in this situation - and for men it can improve other things too![]()
I can sympathise with the pregnancy problems especially in the later stages. My husband started sleeping in the spare room after the second time this happened, though he was a darling about the whole thing. Otherwise this has never happened to me, not even after too much to drink.
