When I was really young (Aged 6-10) I used to have a repetitive dream about my father who I didn't know and my brother who died before I was born.

In the dream I was a super hero and the land I lived in was like something out of a science fiction novel. The land was dry and had large sand hills but just a few miles away was a snowy mountain with a secret base on, I would travel to this place through the lake which was only a few inches deep and was littered with dead bugs and other small bits (Like coins and broken toys). In the base I would be hiding in a closet spying on two men who happened to be my dad whose face I could never see and my uncle who was helping him find something. I would then escape after planting a bomb and run back to the lake, it would then skip a head in time and I was a few years older, walking with my brother down to a small corner shop and in the window was a small cat like skull to which I would explain to my brother was my dads skull.

I had this dream a good few times over the years. I don't seem to get repetitive dreams any more.

I have a really common repetitive dream where i am able to fly. However when flying i have to constantly will myself to continue flying or i begin to fall. I never lose complete control but i often have to really strain to keep myself in the are. Anyone else had this dream its one of my favourites.

I believe if one has repetitive dreams that usually means that it a sign of things to come. It has been proven time and time again. Personally I have not experienced repetitive dreams until now so won't be able to comment much in regards with whether it's true or not.

Our thoughts are repetitive, we tend to think about the same things over and over again - thus our dreams also become repetitive. This is the main reason why some of our dreams recur. But I am sure the analysts will have some deep-rooted explanation for all of this and will put it all down to our neuroses.

I have often dreamt about getting lost in the hills. I am a frequent traveler to the hills and love wandering around and have never got lost there. But this dream keeps repeating itself, and maybe one fine day it will become reality. I hope not - because it will ruin my enjoyment of the hills foever!

Yes. I have a set of dreams (themes) I have had throughout my life with some variations on the theme. For instance, one is about a house that is really two houses connected to each other. The dream started out when I was very young as two closets. I'd find a whole new closet I didn't know was there behind the regular closet. Then the dream repetition was a whole house. I love that dream. But another one is not so nice and it has to do with stairs and stairs and stairs. Always flying down convoluted stairs trying to get away from something - I'd leap and skip half a staircase at a time, almost flying. I have a few more themes I repeat.

No, but I heard that these are caused by certain things like similar music when you go to sleep or similar light conditions.
