    Repetitive Dreams

Have you ever had a dream that you continue to have, over and over again, throughout your lifetime or perhaps for a period of years? I had one as a kid that I have had off and on. It's the same dream, and I remember the details vividly.

Yeah. I have had a few dreams like that. Usually they do not stop until what ever my mind was on about manifests itself in to the real world. Our minds are like these powerful computers we can not fully utilize. Sometimes it sees things coming before it can work its way in to our perception. I feel dreams like that are the brain's way of trying to get your mind to access some kind of information that is difficult to perceptually understand.

Wow Freddy. That is a very interesting way to think about that. I have heard that our brains are capable of so much but to incorporate with reality has a time delay. Maybe repetitive dreams do exist in that place where there is a time delay.

You guys are way over my head. I used to have dreams like that but they were always things that stressed me out. Once I worked through my fears and things then they would not happen anymore.

This one dream was scary, though, and I have never really been sure what it meant. I still don't. It just seems weird to have had the dream in the first place but then to have had it so often over a period of years -- strange.

I've never had such experience but there are dreams of mine that I wish I would be dreaming every time I go to sleep. However, it sounds creepy to dream of the same dream over and over again for a long period of time.

It's even weirder when it's a year later, or two, or whatever. It's the same situation and everything. It's just an odd thing, and I have never, ever been able to make any sense of it. It's with people I know, too, including family.

It could be a prophetic dreams. Some people say that if you dream the same exact thing in the same exact way more than three times then it means it is something that is going to happen.

Thank goodness it wasn't. I was a child and one of my father's students was trying to kill me. He was in charge of the high school newspaper, and the kids used to come over all the time for meetings.

The mind is hard to explain and this can easily happen. I think that the brain records the dreams that we are having and there will come a time that it will trigger that exact same dream and we dream of it again.
