I'm like sleepymate, I can't sleep if there's noise going on. I like to sleep in quiet and darkness, without any distractions or annoyances. Music just keeps me up, I don't listen to it before bed, and the rainforest sounds never seem to do it for me. I wear earplugs if I'm sleeping somewhere noisy.

Watching TV at night makes me sleep. It may be because my eyes gets tired due to the rays emitted from the TV. I am not talking about LCD TV. I have the normal CRT TV at present.

Exactly the same thing happens to me in summer afternoon. I love the sound of the fan and I fall asleep after my lunch in Summer afternoons.

I use a fan as well. There is just something about the sound of it that helps me slee. I do occasionaly leave it off some nights though because you dont want to become dependent on it. That is how addictions start. But yes it is nice having it to fall asleep.

hi, there are sound generating devices which are built to help people sleep. If you go to Amazon and search for something like insomnia relief or white noise device you will find them. The ones by Marpac I think are the more famous ones. They do not actually make noise like the TV, they make all kinds of things that you can choose from and you can modify settings too.

I have a radio that lets me play different sounds before bed. I like to listen to nature sounds, it seems to help me get to sleep faster.
