Same problem here, only that to me it happens at lectures or seminars sometimes. I sleep at least 7 hours, but sometimes I feel very tired. It's a bit odd especially at seminars when some teachers can see me. Any recommandations?
I have a problem of sleeping during my work. I often fell asleep only for a couple of seconds when I still working in my office. I usually sleep in the night for 6 hours everyday. What's wrong with me ? Am I having sleep disorder ?

Well, my suggestion are :
1. Keep yourself busy.
2. When you work or listen to a teacher remember that you are in public places.
3. Try to focus on what you are doing, listen to a teacher or working your task.
4. Don't let your eyes starred at 1 location, switch to other location as well.
5. Try to eat a candy or chocolate. When you are eating your chances of fall asleep is not likely to happen.
Hope these things can help you out![]()
I am familiar with this as one or two of my co-workers are quite sleepy at work. I think it's because they are bored with their work. My suggestion is to get a job that interests and engages you more. If you love your job, it is unlikely that you will feel sleepy.
Healthy adults should sleep from 7,5 hours to 9 hours daily. I doubt that you have some kind of sleep disorder, but maybe you should sleep longer at nights.
I say, as long as boss doesn't know...![]()
I never sleep during my office time. Even i am not feeling well i never sleep during my office time, It creates wrong impression. If i am not feeling well i do less work compare to daily work but i never sleep. If you feel sleep than go and wash your face or you can drink strong coffee or tea so that you will not feel sleepy.
Wow I am pretty sure I would be fired if I slept during work hours. You need more sleep than that, it's what your body is telling you if you are falling asleep during the day. Perhaps you need to get up and walk around when you feel tired. Try to energize yourself.
I do know someone that was fired from a job for sleeping. Keep yourself busy in your office. If you start to feel sleepy go for a little walk or get something to drink. Cold water usually wakes me up a little or caffeine could help.
As Robert said, you might just need more than 6 hours of sleep. I also experience this sleepiness when working and even keeping busy sometimes can't help. I take a nap of about 30 minutes in a room where I could not be seen.
I am sure you need to sleep a little longer. The eating some chocolate always helps me when I feel a little sluggish. The best has always been to take a brisk walk around the office. You need to get the adrenaline pumping.
