    Changes in sleep pattern

Lately, I am having problems going to sleep at night. I am trying to stay up during the day to prevent the change in sleep pattern, but by 3 pm I am so beat I fall asleep sitting down. How can I prevent my sleep pattern from changing? I don't want to be roaming the house at night and fall asleep at the wheel.

You can have a short nap during the day and that won't change your sleep pattern. You can also make a habit to have an exercise as this will help in your sleeping pattern.

I am definitely need to go with the nap. I haven't been able to shake this. I do have to put the alarm though because otherwise the nap a little nap can turn into a couple of hours and then I can't sleep at night. I am planning on starting to walk in the afternoons after dinner. I hope this helps me.

Walking will surely help. The reason why we tend to get sleepy at noon is that our body has spent half of the energy for the whole day and it needs a little charging. A short nap will do the charging.

Another reason why we get sleepy is because after we have eaten our lunch, the blood will go to the stomach and less blood will be in our brains. Less blood in the brain means less oxygen and that causes us to feel sleepy.

Get up and get moving when you get tired. Are you sleeping enough at night? If you are lacking sleep at night then you will be more tired during the day. You need to get enough sleep at night so you are alert and awake during the day.

Sleepyhead is very right. You might not realize you are not getting enough sleep at night. Being in bed sleeping and getting a good nights rest are not the same thing. Do you toss and turn at night?

Every one have to sleep at list 8 hours at night. Sleep is important to our health and well-being at any age and sleep disturbances affect many elderly people. According to me i think that Changing sleeping patterns can be quite difficult, especially when trying to get up early in the morning when you are a night owl.

Here i am sharing some of my thought about how to changes in sleep pattern.

    - Step one is to analyze your sleeping pattern already as it is
    - Step two is to switch your time pattern completely around.
    - Step three is to try and stay up until at least 3:00-5:00 a.m, until the sun almost rises
    - Step four is to keep this pattern going. After about three or four days you'll get used to the pattern.

Being Insomniac is very common these days. Lack in sleep occurs due to various reasons but stress turns up the sole reason in today's scenario. If you can manage to have less stress during day hours it will be easy for you to get a good sleep in night. Moreover, you can always wash your feet before hitting the sack.

You can take a nap during the day, but keep it to 30 minutes maximum. A 15 to 20 min nap will help you a lot. You will wake up rested and ready to go the rest of the day. Anything over 30 mins will disturb your natural sleep cycles. If you are feeling tired and do not want to take a short nap then a little exercise will wake you up. You don't need to over do it, simply take a walk around the block or something similar.
    Good luck!

    Andrew
