No, I haven't known any person who hurt himself or herself because of sleepwalking. What I'm more concerned with are the people around the person who is sleepwalking. He or she might do something to them while sleepwalking.
I have never personally known anyone who got more than bumps and bruises when sleep walking. Have you ever known anyone who had a really serious sleepwalking injury?

I had a brother who used to sleepwalk when he was younger. He never injured himself but played quite a few games of horseshoes standing on his bed.
Using real horseshoes? Oh my, I could see how that might go wrong if someone walked in at the wrong time! Anyone else have experience with sleepwalkers?
I've never known anyone who has hurt themselves or anyone else for that matter. Our daughter started sleep walking at a very young age, but she would usually come to our bedroom. It was interesting because she never bumped into the walls or anything. It was like she knew exactly what she was doing, but she was asleep.
