    Waking Up Sleep Walkers

    I remember a movie by Will Farrell. He was sleepwalking in one scene of the movie. His friend or a relative (I'm not sure anymore) woke him up while he was sleepwalking. He then attacked the person who woke him up. Can this be true in real life about waking up sleepwalkers?

    That is just a myth. Movies are for entertainment and many things in movies are just fantasies. You can wake up a sleepwalker as long as you don't surprise them for they might get mad.

    I think it could happen if the individual sleepwalking is startled enough to the point of becoming very defensive.

    Anything can happen. It depends from person to person in their life. If the sleepwalker has a crime background then he may become more of attacking nature when he is in sleep. If the person is of sober personality then he will never do that.
