    Going Outside the House

Are there any instances where sleepwalkers walk outside the house while they are sleepwalking? This would be dangerous as they might walk across the street while sleepwalking.

I'm sure there are a lot of people that leave the house when they sleepwalk. I see it in the movies anyway. I remember a case not too long ago where a husband drove across town and killed his in laws and he got off- saying he was sleeping.

There are many such true stories in which people walk on streets in sleep. Few stories are also such that the person returns back to home after having a short walk outside the house. The main risk of sleepwalking on streets are the accidents. The person may be more prone to be hit by vehicles at night.

I have heard several stories of sleepwalkers walking outside their house. Also, have seen on movies, but have never seen it myself. Don't know whether it really happens. If it happens then it is really a sad part of that person because anything can happen if he or she is outside house in sleep.
